This painting represents the lengths at which I was required to go to replace my old, mismatched mask. With news of my signing and my mask representing the wrong team, word spread amongst fans and a GoFundMe was generously created to help gather the funds needed to purchase the updated mask and paint job. The blues and grays of this painting indicate the colors and logo of a previous team I once played for and stands out against the shadowy red of my jersey. The subdued and dull colors used in this painting aim to evoke the shame felt requiring financial assistance from fans, while not receiving the professional equipment from the league.
